Kim Avant-Babb a.k.a. Ameenah is a self-taught Fashion Designer and creative soul who embraces her passion for fashion by creating one-of-a-kind and limited edition garments for women. Drawing from more than thirty years as an artist, Ameenah is able to use fabric as her medium and garments as the canvas to create the unique and exquisite pieces displayed in her collections.

Ameenah gives credit to God first for her artistic ability and vision, and secondly to her mother and sewing mentor Joan Hart, a retired Philadelphia factory seamstress, whose feet she sat at as a child watching her assemble one-of-a-kind outfits for her children…. including Ameenah’s wedding gown (pictured on this page); for her clients; and fashion shows that she hosted.

Ameenah Designs offers Image Consulting services, Personal Shopping, Color Analysis, Closet Assessments and Private Sewing lessons. Our goal is to support you in feeling confident in what you wear and how you wear it!
